This presentation will explore how Research Platforms and Portals (RPPs) are changing the way many projects in the Humanities and Social Sciences are serving communities of researchers.
RPPs are often used by groups that are:
- providing a public platform serving a large community of users (individuals and/or small groups)
- engaging in international agreements to provide multi-year computing or storage solutions based in Canada
- providing shared data sets accessible using a third party (non-Compute Canada) interface
- recipients of the Major Science Initiative from the Canada Foundation for Innovation
How does Compute Canada support RPPs? This talk will touch on the features and benefits of using the Compute Canada Cloud and other advanced research computing resources to support an RPP.
